The SSW pathway

The SSW program allows qualified foreign nationals to work in Japan in designated industries. Official skill tests are CBT and confirm job-ready knowledge and judgment; schedules, fees, eligibility, and retake rules are managed by official sponsors. We provide independent preparation only.

Coverage overview

Caregiving

  • What’s tested: Care basics, safety, infection control, and care-related Japanese.
  • Tasks you’ll practice: Vitals checks, moving/positioning, daily living support, communication with residents/families.
  • Mock structure: Knowledge + scenario judgment; timing modes; bilingual explanations.
  • Difficulty guidance: Practical terminology and scenario reasoning; start with vocabulary drills then full mocks.

Food Service

  • What’s tested: Hygiene, food & beverage prep, customer service, plus planning/judgment tasks.
  • Example tasks: HACCP basics, menu/ingredients, equipment handling, complaint handling, food diversity.
  • Mock structure: Academic (30Q) + Practical (15Q) simulation.
  • Difficulty guidance: Balanced across hygiene, prep, service; practice calculation-style planning items.

Food & Beverage Manufacturing

  • What’s tested: HACCP-focused hygiene, process control, safety/health; plus practical scenario judgments and planning.
  • Mock structure: Academic (30Q) + Practical (10Q) simulation; 70 min flow.
  • Difficulty guidance: Emphasis on hygiene and safe operations; train judgment with diagram-based items.

Housekeeping

  • What’s tested: Cleaning standards, safety, customer service, and basic Japanese for instructions.
  • Tasks you’ll practice: Room preparation, sanitation checks, handling cleaning equipment safely, reporting issues.
  • Mock structure: Knowledge questions + scenario judgment; bilingual explanations.
  • Difficulty guidance: Focus on hygiene protocols and safe work procedures; start with task vocab then full scenarios.

Manufacturing (Light Industry)

  • What’s tested: Production process safety, quality control, teamwork, and industry-specific terminology.
  • Tasks you’ll practice: Assembly line checks, machinery operation, reporting defects, basic workflow planning.
  • Mock structure: Knowledge + scenario judgment; timing modes; bilingual explanations.
  • Difficulty guidance: Focus on safety and efficiency; practice both planning and hands-on reasoning tasks.
